Michael C. Stone’s diverse career spans over two decades. He most recently served as Production Designer on Marco Calvani's drama (High Tide) starring Marisa Tomei, Bill Irwin and Marco Pigossi, (Brave the Dark) starring Jared Harris and the romantic comedy (About Fate) starring Emma Roberts.  He was Art Director on J. Blakeson's  (I Care A Lot) starring Rosamund Pike and Peter Dinklage and as Set Decorator on (The Unholy) starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan and (Honest Thief) starring Liam Neeson. He began his career in Los Angeles as a Leadman on over fourteen films including (Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead) before becoming an Assistant Art Director on (The Fast and The Furious). He has worked with Directors Diane Keaton (Hanging Up), Randa Haines (Dance With Me), and two films with Director Mike Figgis (One Night Stand) and the experimental digital film (Time Code) shot in four simultaneous continuous takes.  Stone also Art Directed additional independent feature films including Director Max Winkler’s (Jungleland), Director Jake Scott’s (American Woman) and Filip Jan Rymsza's award-winning (Mosquito State) which premiered at 2020 Venice International Film Festival.  Stone was Production Designer on the romantic comedy (Love, Weddings & Other Disasters) starring Diane Keaton and Jeremy Irons.  He has been a member of the Art Directors Guild since 1998 and currently serves as the guild’s North East Representative. In addition to his work in film, he also lead the Interior Design practice at AD 100 architecture firm Alan Wanzenberg Design in New York City working on high-end interiors for clients worldwide for five years.  He continues to design interiors and custom furniture for select clients in New York City, Hamptons, Boston, Newport, Rhode Island and Los Angeles.  Stone attended Northeastern University and was raised in Scituate, Massachusetts on Boston’s South Shore and currently resides in Falmouth, Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
